UCP Work Inc Mission StatementUCP WORK, Inc. is helping to create a new and different vision for the communities of the Tri-Counties (San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura). A not for profit agency, UCP WORK, Inc. is dedicated to assisting people with significant disabilities grow toward productive and satisfying lives within the community of their choice. UCP WORK, Inc. is committed to being leaders in providing innovative programs to maximize employability, independence and quality of life.

UCP WORK, Inc. was founded in 1968 by the Kiwanis Club of Santa Barbara. The Agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and employs a staff of approximately 200 individuals to administer and provide services to over 400 program participants.

UCP WORK, Inc. maintains offices in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara and Carpinteria (Santa Barbara County), and provides services throughout the Tri-Counties (San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura).

As a result of our commitment to the community, UCP WORK, Inc. has been a foundation of the Tri-Counties and is not only well-known, but valued within our communities. The Agency staff and Board of Directors are committed to successfully facilitating the inclusion and involvement of persons with disabilities in all facets of community life. We, as an organization, firmly believe our communities are ‘ready’ to accept, integrate and form meaningful relationships with individuals with disabilities.
